Item Conocimientos y actitud sobre lactancia materna en estudiantes de una facultad de salud. 2024(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Marín Vargas, Isabella; Ocoró Sinisterra, Isabella; Moreno Murillo, Andrea; Ospina Uribe, Martha CeciliaObjective: To determine the level of knowledge and attitude about breastfeeding in students of a health faculty. Methodology: through a descriptive cross-sectional study, students of the last semesters of the Faculty of Health of the Universidad Santiago de Cali were selected through a non-random sampling, and were invited to answer the validated questionnaire "Competence in primary care on breastfeeding" (CAPA), which consists of 20 questions of knowledge and 4 questions of attitude. Results: Between February and April 2024, 114 students were recruited, 72 from nursing (ninth semester), 28 from medicine and 14 from phonoaudiology (tenth semester), 85% female, with an average age of 24.6 ± 3.94 years. Some 26.3% worked in the health area and 24.6% had 1 to 2 children. The students of the 3 programs had good knowledge in 15 (75%) questions of the questionnaire related to all the benefits for both mother and child and the non-use of formula milk. In nursing and medicine, lack of knowledge predominated in contraindications due to the mother having hepatitis B, mastitis, receiving antibiotics, consuming alcohol and being a smoker. The three programs also showed a good attitude towards breastfeeding and present a decisive stance, with no doubts in their great majority in the four related questions.Item Cuidados paliativos no farmacológicos en Niños. Revisión bibliográfica 2019-2023(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Quintero Bedoya, Maryi Yuliana; Neira Aguirre María Camila; López Olivera, Estivaliz Johana; Ospina Uribe, Martha CeciliaIntroduction: Pediatric non-pharmacological palliative care is a fundamental part that should be included in the comprehensive care of the child, especially children with terminal illnesses, starting from the moment of diagnosis, throughout life, death and death. duel. Objective: Identify non-pharmacological palliative care in children in the available scientific evidence. Methodology: A bibliographic study was carried out through four important stages. In the first stage, the evaluation of the articles was carried out in the databases Scopus, Pub Med, Sage Journals, Springer, Science Direct, OXFORD, Dialnet, Mendeley, taking into account the guiding question, objective, inclusion and exclusion criteria. At the same time, the researchers developed a database in the Excel tool for the organization of the articles. In the second phase, with the help of STROBE, criteria were executed for the selection of articles in the Excel database. In the third phase and fourth phase, the PRISMA methodology was used. Results: 159 articles were included whose titles and abstract corresponded to the topic and finally, after the analysis, 25 articles were taken into account; Likewise, two categories of interventions associated with palliative care and family support are established. The general objective of this research is to determine the factors that affect the drop-out of students enrolled in the nursing program during the periods 2014B to 2019A at the Santiago de Cali University. At the methodological level, this work corresponds to a longitudinal, prospective, follow-up study to a cohort from the period 2014-14B to 2019A. This will be done in three stages, thus responding to the objectives. The causes indicated in this work are given by a previous bibliographical review, also composed of a field work where results were produced with a population of ninety-five students enrolled in the program that over time were deserted in the semesters that were they consider basic level as they are the first semester, second semester and third semester, thus leaving a result of twenty-eight deserters where 68% are female and 32% male are here the majority of deserters with a percentage of 39% for First and second semester, 22% were reported for the third semester, it is reflected that they are the beginning of the university stage where the majority of specific deserters are in the 2014B-2019A cohort. Also seeing that the socio-economic stratum with the highest prevalence is stratum two with a 50% result. La investigación se fundamentó en los diferentes estudios acerca de los diseños instruccionales, en la identificación de características propias y percepciones del grupo de docentes y de estudiantes y en las características de la plataforma LMS disponible en la Universidad; para así llegar a una propuesta metodológica que sea coherente y adaptado a las actuales teorías del aprendizaje orientadas hacia la enseñanza centrada en el estudiante a la construcción de su propio conocimiento, con un aprendizaje significativo, colaborativo y que además motive y despierte interés en los actores del proceso y que lo preparen para las necesidades del contexto actual. En este estudio se encontró que tienen gran relevancia el conocimiento de la comunidad académica para plantear la estrategia y que los elementos fundamentales para el éxito de su diseño son la capacitación y motivación de los docentes, crear las condiciones necesarias para potenciar las competencias en el uso de las herramientas TIC en los estudiantes y los recursos que se utilicen en ello.Item Risk factors in the growth and development of preschool children cali 2018(Sociedad Venezolana de Farmacologia y de Farmacologia Clinica y Terapeutica, 2019-12-01) Ospina Uribe, Martha Cecilia; Ortega Arce, Dina Carmenza; Navarrete, Carmen ElenaA través de la intervención con estudiantes y docentes de enfermería se identificaron los factores de riesgo en el crecimiento y desarrollo de preescolares. Para lo cual se evaluaron 67 niñas (44,96%) y 82 niños (55,04%), durante el año 2018, utilizando como instrumentos de valoración, la escala abreviada del desarrollo y las curvas de crecimiento de la OMS. Encontrando que para el indicador Peso / Talla el 11.4% de los niños tienen riesgo de desnutrición aguda, el 8.1% presentan desnutrición aguda, el 11% tienen riesgo de sobrepeso y sobrepeso el 2%. En el indicador Talla /Edad, el 18% tiene riesgo de talla baja y 1,3% presenta retraso en la talla. Los indicadores de desarrollo Motricidad Gruesa y Fina mostraron que un 9% y 11.6% de los niños respectivamente no realizan las actividades esperadas. Tanto en Audición y Lenguaje como en Personal Social un 10% de los niños presentaron alteraciones en las actividades evaluadas. Con los hallazgos se realizaron intervenciones individuales y grupales con padres y cuidadores. Esta actividad permitió la formación y participación de estudiantes y comunidades en la solución de las necesidades detectadas, y se cumple con una función sustantiva de la Universidad, la Proyección Social y la aplicación de su Modelo pedagógico Social-Cognitivo
