Despite the efforts being made to increase coverage in Colombia in 2015, only 30% of exclusive breastfeeding was reached up to 6 months. The university mother is a population that according to studies has difficulties in assuming the role of breastfeeding due to their academic commitments. Therefore, the study determines the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding in children of nursing students from a university institution in the city of Cali during the first semester of 2020b.
