Disminución de los tiempos de alistamiento aplicando SMED en el proceso de empaque tipo plegadizas en una empresa de artes gráficas

Applied research that analyzes the inactivity time in the machines operation, during the manufacturing process of folding type packaging, in a graphic arts company located in the municipality of Yumbo and whose most important customers are food industry, personal hygiene and pharmacist multinationals. Therefore once it is detected that 80% of this unproductivity corresponds to the transition time between the production of one lot and the next; it is proposed to reduce these times, which will be called "enlistment times" by applying the SMED tool, which consists in converting the internal processes (activities that must be carried out when the machinery is not in operation), to external processes that concern all the operations executed with the machinery in operation, this with the idea of reducing the times of enlistment. The processes in which the tool was applied were: (1) printing, (2) die cutting and (3) gluing, resulting in 30% average efficiency, in 1.03 months of execution, equivalent in Colombian pesos to an approximate saving of $ 72.272.000, being an economically viable and profitable project for the company
