To do this, an exploratory type investigation is carried out with a mixed method of analysis resulting in 2 ETFs that are listed with the acronym OIH and XOP, of which it can be concluded that they represent a form of investment with controlled risk in the oil sector given the conditions of volatility and high uncertainty that this sector may have due to the multiple national and international factors involved in it. Likewise, the composition of these publicly listed indices allows us to better understand the panorama of those companies that are related in the sector and how the different situations impact them
