(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Olivares Polo, Jenniffer; Pantoja Portillo, Doris Yanira; Vásquez Hernández, José Alberto; Ospina Uribe, Martha Cecilia (Directora)
In the following work a description of ancestral actions of maintenance, negotiation and reorientation in growth and development in urban indigenous families with infants, in Cali, is made, referenced in the model of Madeleine Leininger. This allowed us to carry out an investigation with a qualitative approach, through a descriptive study of an ethnographic type of small scope and for nursing known as ethno-nursing, understanding that it focuses on the study and systematic classification of beliefs, values, practices and actions that are They apply to nursing, and in the study, the sampling was determined by relevance, adequacy, convenience, opportunity and availability. Relevance refers to the selection of key informants; Adequacy refers to obtaining the most and best information. Convenience refers to two aspects: choosing the appropriate place for indigenous families to share information; In this case, the semi-structured interviews were conducted with indigenous families with infants from the urban part of the city of Cali; For the data analysis, the four phases were included, such as data collection and documentation, identification and categorization of descriptors and cultural components, patterns and contextual analysis, and proposals for cultural themes, theoretical formulations and recommendations. With the results, the theoretical construction of ancestral care actions in indigenous families represented in infographics was carried out. It was finally concluded that through this study it was allowed to develop cultural competence, to understand that care actions are not exclusively to supply biological aspects, but rather that they go beyond a marked screening of cultural and social patterns.
