Item Rol del fisioterapeuta en código azul(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Mosquera Caicedo, Zuany Tatiana; Marinez Rincón, Angie Camila; Orozco Mejía, Lina Marcela (Directora)The blue code protocol is an alert, call and rapid response system that involves the collaborative work of a team of professionals, reducing the care time of a single patient, which translates into a decrease in patient morbidity and mortality in cardiorespiratory arrest; It is the responsibility of the physiotherapist to protect the patient's airway and facilitate the arrival of oxygen to the different vital organs, reducing the impact of sequelae. : It is possible to conclude that physiotherapy is a discipline that is recognized as an essential part of the interdisciplinary team, which intervenes in the critically ill patient, actively participating in the processes of diagnosing deficiencies that potentially compromise motor functions, as well as participating in various procedures and clinical decision-making that contribute to maintaining the balance of body systems and comprehensive rehabilitation processes. It is of vital importance that the resuscitation team that participates in the blue code is aware of its role and its importance in the patient's quality of life.
