Item Eficacia de las vacunas contra el Covid-19 en adulto mayor 2020-2021, una revisión de alcance(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Otero López, Jessica Alexandra; Morales Ramirez, Gladys Edilma; Ríos Ramirez, Jhon Alexander; Ortega, Dina CarmenzaIntroduction: The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines in older adults according to the 2019-2021 literature. Method: This study is carried out through a documentary review; the information was organized following the PRISMA guidelines. 1435 references were reviewed; from the review 36 articles were obtained with which the analysis was carried out. Result: The results show the analyzes of the articles on the effectiveness of the vaccines against COVID 19, it is shown that the findings of the vaccines exceed 80% effectiveness, although the recommendation focuses on adults over 18 years of age, a large gap remains. Of research on the effects and the population under 18 years of age. Conclusions: The impact of therapeutic vaccines will take time to occur as they are still in experimentation. The data reported in the literature are in the process of being adjusted due to the recent appearance of the infection and the follow-up of the intervened populations and the complexity of the analysis of these results
