Item Análisis descriptivo de la planificación estratégica de empresas familiares en colombia(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2025) Arcia Alvarez, Angelica Maria; Molina Rada, Cindy Lorena; Valencia Velosa, Juan Manuel (Director)The descriptive analysis of the strategic planning of Colombian family businesses focuses on how these organizations approach the formulation of their objectives and the definition of their achievement activities. The purpose of this methodological approach is to detail the characteristics of their planning process: the time horizons they consider, the main participants involved (family members, external leaders, consultants), the most commonly used tools and techniques, and the specific challenges they face. Data collection focuses on qualitative methods, such as semi-structured interviews with relevant managers and family businesses, in some cases complemented by documentary plans, reports, and protocol analysis. A quantitative component could be included in the studies to gain a broader view, although the core of the analysis is the wealth of experiences and quality perspectives. The priority test of the tests establishes the representativeness of the use of unobstructed sampling in search of cases that illustrate the diversity of the Colombian family business landscape. The analysis of quality data includes model transcription, coding, and identification of new themes that seek to understand how family dynamics affect strategic planning. The complementary quantitative analysis focuses on descriptive statistics. The expected results include a detailed description of strategic planning practices in this context, identification of critical success factors and the most significant obstacles, and a deeper understanding of the interaction between family vision and business objectives. This descriptive analysis serves as a basis for future research, which may investigate the causal relationship or recommend specific strategic planning models for Colombian family businesses.
