    Caracterización de las compensaciones articulatorias del habla con pacientes con labio paladar fisurado que asisten a la Fundación Gracias a Dios un Niño Sonríe - 2018B

    The articulatory compensations are speech modifications that are present in cleft palate, high and low pressure phonemes are altered in this pathology. This investigation was developed under the Gracias A Dios Un Niño Sonríe Foundation’s authorization, who’s supported by Smile Train, an international organization that provides a solution to cleft palate’s burden by trainings, funding and other resources that are necessary such as operation and free rehabilitation processes. Objective: The aim of this study is to do the characterization of the compensations present in cleft palate in patients who assisted to Gracias A Dios Un Niño Sonríe Foundation on 2018 B period. Method: This was a transversal quantitative descriptive study. The total of participants was 17, female and masculine gender, 7 years older. Data was recollected, first, considering the clinical history’s information that was registered at the beginning, then the voice recording was registered, which allow to develop a more univariate and bivariate results. Results: The most affected phonemes in the participants was the high-pressure ones, considering that the compensations are present on absolute initial position and intervocalic position. It was evidenced major prevalence of nasal emissions and fricatives. Conclusion: Articulatory compensations are a speech phenomenon that is consequent to a velopalatine dysglossia and its diagnose constitution is vinculated to phonetic-phonological disorders.
