Item Detección temprana de alteraciones de salud mental en adolescentes escolarizados de una institución educativa pública en el corregimiento de Amaime - Palmira. 2022(2024) Hincapié Martínez, Cristian David; Jaramillo Paz, Laura Melisa; Maldonado Duarte, Anyela Katherine; Bedoya Sandoval, Juan Fernando (Director)The article aimed to identify the risk of mental disorders in school-aged adolescents (aged 16 and 17) from the Amaime rural area in Palmira. An exploratory, descriptive, and cross-sectional study was conducted, using a 39-item instrument to assess symptoms related to depression, anxiety, stress, suicidal ideation, psychosis, and alcohol consumption. The analysis (using Excel and SPSS v. 27) showed that most participants were 16-year-old women, of mixed race, from socioeconomic stratum 1, and enrolled in 11th grade. The overall results did not identify relevant clinical findings in the general population; however, it was found that women showed greater significance in the manifestation of physical, emotional, and behavioral symptoms. The conclusion is that, while the overall risk is not significant, this predisposition among women suggests the need for continuous and timely follow-up in adolescent mental health.
