It is the most common childhood physical disability, with a prevalence of 2–3 cases per 1,000 live births. Spastic CP is the most frequent type, characterized by hypertonia, muscle rigidity, restricted movement, and pain, significantly impacting quality of life and limiting participation in daily activities. Its management requires a multidisciplinary approach within the framework of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF). Interventions include manual techniques and complementary therapies such as Bobath, Perfetti, cryotherapy, hydrotherapy, hippotherapy, functional electrical stimulation, massage, mirror therapy, and therapeutic exercise, aiming to improve mobility, reduce spasticity, and enhance functional independence.
