Item Carga económica de las enfermedades musculoesqueléticas de origen laboral(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Lasso Rivas, July Vanessa; Estupiñán Castillo, Gleisy VanessaThe objective of this article is to publicize the economic burden that is incurred from musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) of work origin and report the most common that occur. Labor absenteeism represents an annual direct cost of approximately US $ 90 million and US $ 2.1 billion in compensations, with musculoskeletal disorders (rotator cuff tendonitis, bicipital Tendinitis, bursitis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Epicondylitis and Syndrome Quervain) the most frequent cause of diminished temporary and permanent work capacity.
