Item Revisión de herramientas de Lean manufacturing para el mejoramiento continuo(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Gómez López, Camilo Alejandro; Izasa Giraldo, Daniela; Ocampo Daza, Giselle Nathalia; Guerrero Moreno, David RodrigoThis bibliographic documentation review article corresponds to the analysis of the methodology of continuous improvement based on Lean Manufacturing tools, with a view to reducing waste in every way, as well as increasing the profitability of the organization. In the first place, the exhaustive search of material corresponding to the variables of the study was carried out, with each and every one of the characteristics and properties of the Lean, focusing more specifically on the Kaizen methodology, and how it is implemented in companies today; Secondly, we proceeded to review the case studies that show the benefits of the implementation of this methodology, in 4 Latin American companies (Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia). All of which allows the formulation of the pertinent conclusions, establishing that the implementation of the Kaizen methodology within the processes of Lean Manufacturing, in addition to being one of the fundamental requirements to ensure the scope of the organizational objectives from the strategic planning, based on the minimization of errors (waste, delays, rework), which directly affects profitability by reducing the costs of production and marketing of products and services
