Item Impresiones 3D revisión literaria(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Ibarguen Gonzales, Mara Melissa; Sanchez Arteaga, Claudia Patricia (Directora)The objective of this literary article is review and investigation to evaluate how the field of 3D printing or also called stereolithography is in current dental mechanics as opposed to manual technique (predecessor), for this purpose a review was first carried out. Literature in magazines and a the academic publications of universities about the research that has been carried out on impression models, resources used and results obtained with this type of practice to help patients have a healthy oral well-being. Stereolithography is a new technique that, using the data obtained by a helical CT scan (Computerized Axial Tomography) of patients and a computer system, can obtain 3-dimensional prototypes (1). In the development, the reader is given the materials such as resins, monomers and polymers for the elaboration of implants and prostheses, as well as the different methods used worldwide with results obtained in patients (2). The step by step of a threedimensional impression as prosthesis for a dental patients will be explained, when it is in the design part through a computer, explanations will be given about the software that allows these open source impressions to be made, that is, programs free computer programs for execution learning. and At the end of reading this article, it will be concluded that 3D printing is the present of dental practices due to its efficiency in obtaining the expected results with less human effort and more technological support than its predecessor, the manual technique (3).
