Item Síndrome del impostor en profesionales del área de la salud: Revisión bibliográfica(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Herrera Gallego, Isabella; Maldonado, Beatriz AlejandraIntroduction: The impostor syndrome (IS) is a phenomenon that affects professionals in the health area, in which people feel that despite their achievements they still remain insufficient or that they are a fraud in front of others, on the other hand, it is one of the phenomena that most frequently affects women; and in the health area the most outstanding are nurses and anesthesiologists, since their levels of responsibility are high, leading them to the point of spending many more hours preparing and working(1,2). Objective: To analyze the regularity of impostor syndrome in health professionals. Materials and methods: The present bibliographic review was carried out by means of a search of articles in databases such as: Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, PubMed, Springer. Results: The impostor syndrome is evidenced in both genders, but more frequently in women, and one of the most common aspects is fatigue, stress, physical and mental exhaustion. Conclusion: Can be considered as one of the main characteristics that negatively affect the mental health of health professionals regardless of their achievements and capabilities; likewise, PI significantly affects both women and men, with the female gender prevailing
