    The used of airplanes and drones in precision agriculture allows better planning and optimization of processes in agricultural production, as well as enhancing the use of land dedicated to agriculture in Colombia. This document presents an interpretation of the bibliographic review and academic research found through databases such as Scopus, Dialnet, Scielo, Redalyc and the manuals and technical specifications of the DJI and Airtractor aircrafts; on the utilization of airplanes and especially drones in precision agriculture and how it has been developed throughout history to reach the regional context, emphasizing the analysis in the cultivation of sugar cane
