Item Influencia del apoyo familiar en el desarrollo deportivo de niños entre los 12 y 13 años(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Gallego Cartagena, Ingrix Dayana; Hortúa García, José Oswaldo (Director)This study analyzes how family support impacts the sports development of children and adolescents in the discipline of racing skating, focusing on young people between 12 and 13 years of age. During this stage of growth, family support is presented as a key factor in motivating, retaining, and training athletes in values. By accompanying them in practices and competitions, the family not only strengthens children's intrinsic motivation but also provides them with a safe environment that helps them to face competition without excessive pressure, promoting resilience and emotional self-control. In addition, the study highlights the role of the family in transmitting values such as responsibility, respect, and discipline, which not only improve sports performance but are also applicable in other aspects of young people's lives, such as academic and social settings. In an inclusive context, the study identifies differences in access to sports resources between urban and rural areas, highlighting the role of the family in rural areas as a pillar of support in the absence of infrastructure. The study concludes that family support is essential for healthy and balanced sports development and recommends integrating families into sports training programs to maximize the benefits in the well-being and performance of young athletes.
