It has been shown that many of the chemicals called Endocrine Disruptors used in agri-food activity have the ability to break into the endocrine system of humans and animals causing serious consequences; the present work reflects on the responsibility of the Colombian State, imposed by the Constitution and the International Covenants on Human Rights, and Economic, Social and Cultural, to establish rules limiting their use in food activity as a guarantee of the right to food security and related rights. From bibliographic data collection, hermeneutics was used as a method for the interpretation of normative texts and other secondary sources. It was found that there is no regulation on endocrine disruptors and that it is considered in Colombia and some South American countries as an unjustified barrier to trade while the European Community has regulated them. It is concluded from Ferrajoli's guarantee theory that the Colombian State has a duty to regulate these substances as a guarantee of the right to food security.
