Una revisión de literatura(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2021) Castillo Arce, Tatiana; Duque Cuesta, Nhayet Daniela; Castañeda Muñoz, Luz Adriana; Bedoya Arias, Wilmer (Director)The introduction of computer-aided design and assisted manufacturing (CAD / CAM) in the dental field in the early 1980s has provided rapid development for the fabrication of restorations dental (Bibb et al., 2006).Currently, the digital technologies used in dentistry have evolved even when they have already been used for several decades in other fields such as engineering industries. In this case a focus on 3D printing technology specifically for metal, which is defines as the rapid obtaining or creation of structures by means of computer-aided designs. The different advances in biomaterials and equipment used in the field of dental restoration has improved notably the efficiency, precision, economy and success of the preparation of many of the rehabilitations carried out by dental laboratories in together with dental professionals, that is why these systems are increasingly revolutionizing this sector.
