Gender-based violence in Colombia affects Afro-descendant women most intensely, especially in excluded territories such as the Colombian Pacific. There, structural racism, poverty, and state neglect generate multiple forms of symbolic, physical, economic, social, and psychological violence. This article analyzes the manifestation of gender-based violence against women in the Colombian Pacific region in community spaces that promote female empowerment through collective work. The research adopts a qualitative approach, and a critical paradigm developed through a documentary review, analyzing 31 academic sources selected from a total of 41 publications reviewed between 2018 and 2025, extracted from databases such as Scopus, PubMed, SciELO, Mendeley, Redalyc, Google Scholar, and the Valle digital library. The analysis categories were based on ethnic groups (Afro-descendant women), intersectionality, gender-based violence, and gender. According to literature reviews, these women face intersectional violence exacerbated by territorial and ethnic-racial exclusion, rendering them invisible in public policies. Organizations like AGROCAÑA seek to strengthen their autonomy and leadership, which is key to ensuring that public policies adopt an intersectional approach and support community processes connected to Afro-descendant women, ensuring their participation in prevention, care, and reparation strategies with a differentiated approach.
