Item Imрасtо y desafíos en la acreditación de laboratorios de metrologia en colombia: revisión sistemática de la literatura.(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Collazos Martinez, Jerson Daniel; Bermeo Varón, Leonardo Antonio (Director)In Colombia, the accreditation of biomedical metrology laboratories by external organizations is essential to ensure compliance with international quality standards. The purpose of this project is to determine the number of accredited laboratories in Colombia and analyze the obstacles faced by those seeking accreditation. A systematic review of the literature is used as a tool to examine the existing evidence regarding the impact and challenges related to the accreditation of metrology laboratories in the country. Accreditation aims to improve the quality and safety of healthcare services while promoting collaboration between laboratories and healthcare providers. Challenges in obtaining accreditation include the scarcity of specialized laboratories, lack of technical competence, resource limitations, and the need to compare performance among different laboratories. The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard is used as a basis to implement quality management systems in laboratories. The implementation of accreditation has demonstrated advantages, such as increased customer confidence and operational efficiency, as well as an upsurge in demand for services and participation in national and international projects. The accreditation of laboratories has been driven by specific governmental policies and regulations in Colombia, leading to an increase in the number of accredited laboratories, which could contribute to the country's economic development and competitiveness in the international trade arena.
