Early pregnancy is one of the main difficulties faced by young people, particularly in developing countries. This phenomenon is considered a public health problem, with different psychological and social repercussions. In the case of the department of Cauca, in Colombia, the figures are alarming. In January and September 2018, the percentage of pregnant women between 15 and 19 years of age did not drop below 20%. In that order of ideas, the present work aims to identify the family dynamics of adolescents with early pregnancies in the municipality of Guachené Cauca, between 2018 - 2021. A quantitative descriptive observational study of quantitative type was conducted with 32 pregnant adolescents aged 12 to 19 years; in which a questionnaire of sociodemographic data was applied and the FACES III Scale was applied. A multivariate statistical analysis was carried out taking two groups of adolescents living in nuclear and non- nuclear families. Results on the sociodemographic characteristics showed that the average age of pregnancy was 17 years, the onset of sexual relations was between 15-17 years, and the prevalent emotions at the time of learning of the pregnancy were fear, anger and sadness. As for family dynamics, 62.5% of the families were chaotic and 40.6% had unrelated families, the family functioning that prevailed was medium range equivalent to 41% of the adolescents surveyed. In conclusion, the adolescents in the study presented family dysfunction, it was evident that nuclear type families present greater dysfunction, therefore it is important to resolve family conflicts, improve communication so that they can offer emotional and family stability to both the young mother and the future child.
