Item Formulación cosmética de bronceador con propiedades de protección solar a base de una mezcla eutéctica de Curcumina y Quercetina(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2023) Cazaran Valencia, Isai; Minotta Aguirre, Gianella; D’Vries, Richard Fernando (Director)One of the fields of action of pharmaceutical chemistry is the area of cosmetics, where different products for daily use are designed and produced. One of the most used cosmetic products are products that offer sun protection, since there are multiple adverse effects from daily and prolonged exposure to the sun. Therefore, in this research work, a new type of suntan lotion was designed, formulated and produced that contains a double function, protection against solar radiation and generation of skin tanning. For this, innovation was sought through the use of antioxidants of natural origin, such as the eutectic mixture of curcumin and quercetin developed at the Santiago de Cali University. The eutectic mixture was characterized by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), subsequently a cosmetic formulation was made in the form of a topical emulsion varying concentrations of compounds such as mineral oil, perlogen, carrot oil, xanthan gum and tween 20. To the different formulations Stability tests were performed in order to find the most stable product. The stability tests carried out include tests at high and low temperatures, temperature cycles, pH and centrifugation. After the tests, a stable formulation was obtained. Finally, sensory tests of the product were carried out, in order to assess the acceptance by a representative sample of the community of the Santiago de Cali University.
