A quality management system allows the inclusion of elements to monitor and mitigate in a timely manner the bottlenecks that generate waste and do not contribute profitably to the sustainability and growth of companies. With this premise, the research was aimed at designing a proposal for the transition from the ISO 9001:2008 model to ISO 9001 2015 for the improvement of the processes for the company DELTEC S.A in the city of Santiago de Cali. For such purpose, the methodology was defined according to the following stages: initially the diagnostic tool was designed and implemented, then the collection and analysis of evidence was carried out to develop the proposal for the transitional plan. Finally, the proposal was socialized with those involved, showing the benefits and improvements of its implementation in order to comply with the requirements of the normal and particularly to the documentation and records needed for it.
