Item Cuidados de enfermería en el manejo de heridas en paciente con pie diabético - revisión de alcance(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2022) Beltrán Delgado, Leidy Tatiana; Cabrera Vidal, Jhon Alexander; Hernández Gomajoa, María Isabel; Barrero Castro, AndreaDiabetes is a global epidemic that especially affects middle and low-income countries according to data from the International Diabetes Federation, becoming a problem for the most vulnerable health systems. As one of the main consequences of this disease, recent studies mention that in Colombia the prevalence of amputation due to diabetic foot injuries is increasing, highlighting the need to promote different educational methods that contribute to increase knowledge about measures and care for the treatment of this condition. Therefore, the main objective of this systematic literature review is to identify nursing care in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with diabetic foot based on the principles of self-care. This document is consolidated through the integrative review of first instance scientific articles obtained from multidisciplinary databases, using criteria and search methods for the purification of information in a specialized way. Throughout the article, it is possible to reach different academic approaches of 11 selected articles that manage to classify nursing care for patients with diabetic foot wounds, in three sections that classify care as strategic, preventive and interventional. Additionally, the problems related to the implementation of this care in a health system with similar characteristics to those of our country are discussed.
