Item Porosidad en acrílicos en técnicas de microondas y convencional, validación de la técnica(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Cardona Ramirez, Xiomara; Jaramillo Londono, Marcela; Bonilla Aranda, Sebastian Alejandro; Valencia Llanos, Carlos Humberto (Director)Introduction: In recent years there has been a boom in the use of the microwave technique to polymerize total acrylic pros theses, due to its advantages in simplicity and working time, but do about the results in terms of porosity and release of monomer residual. Materials and method: It is proposed to validate a previous investigation, increasing the number of samples and using the same protocols used and standardized for microwave and conventional techniques (wet heat and pressure) Results: No significant differences were found in relation to porosity. Discussion: Results were slightly different from those reported by the base research. Conclusions: Both techniques are reliable to polymerize total acrylic pros theses.
