Item Caracterización del grado de implementación de metodologías de mejora de calidad y productividad en empresas manufactureras de la ciudad de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Benavides Ascuntar, Anderson Alejandro; Masso Alzate, John AlexanderThis project develops a characterization and measurement of the degree of implementation of quality and productivity improvement methodologies in 11 manufacturing companies in the city of Cali. This characterization encompasses a qualitative study developed through a survey in which different factors are revealed that reveal related information regarding methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Total Quality Management. The results obtained show that there is a moderately low level in terms of the adoption of the methodologies addressed. Among the findings, it was observed that the two tools with the highest adoption are “Standardization of Jobs” and “Kaizen”, the two belonging to the Lean Manufacturing methodology. It should be noted that some of the companies studied, have an implementation greater than 60% of the number of techniques evaluated, being a case of great impact on the study. One of the most important conclusions, focuses on the wide possibilities derived from the potential of universities to generate collaboration with companies, in the development of applied research that allow the implementation of these tools given the demonstrated importance of the benefits they provide.
