In this sense, the objective of this research project was to understand the perception of traditional medicine during pregnancy, childbirth and post-partum of the indigenous women of the Tacueyó reservation in the period 2021-2022. For which the qualitative, ethnographic study was used. The population was 183 Nasa indigenous women. Semi-structured interviews were carried out based on Spradley to find out the perception of pregnant women about the use of traditional medicine. The information was analyzed using qualitative methods, systematization, discussion and identifying categories and subcategories. The study made it possible to identify that the reservation has its own Indigenous and Intercultural Health System (SISPI), where support is provided to the entire assisting community. In addition, a sociodemographic analysis was carried out and factors that influence the gestation process from traditional medicine and the barriers that limit the access of pregnant women to health centers were established. The pregnant population is in an age range between 14 to 44 years, belonging entirely to the subsidized regime. The perception of women about traditional medicine perceives the importance that intrinsic ancestral knowledge has and has tended in their own medicine, where the role of the midwife, traditional doctor and medicinal plants are determinant in the generation of protective factors.
