Item La participación política y el liderazgo social como aporte al desarrollo comunitario desde las voces de cinco (5) mujeres afrodescendientes del consejo comunitario campesino palenque monte oscuro en el municipio de Puerto Tejada (C), entre los Años 2010-2018(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2020) Balanta Vasquez, Jessica; Paredes Romero, Valentina; Tamayo Marín, Ana DilviaThis study addressed as its central axis the analysis of the contribution that Afrodescendant women make from their political participation and social leadership to community development. It was developed in the Palenque Monte Oscuro Peasant Community Council (CCCPMO) in the Municipality of Puerto Tejada (Cauca), the time range considered was between 2010-2018. The questions for the research arose from the cultural and structural situation of the Municipality of Puerto Tejada (Cauca), a population that lives the difficulty in its possibilities of exercising full political participation and social leadership. However, significant progress has been made in matters of inclusion and decision-making with regard to women, given their importance in society and their role within it. The description of women's Political Participation and Social Leadership processes in Community Development projects that were managed and implemented under the CCCPMO was considered as the central axis. On the other hand, this research addressed the knowledge, attitudes and practices that women established in spaces of collective interaction. To this end, the projects developed by CCCPMO were taken and described, pointing out how interactions and motivations between Afro women were given in the processes. Finally, this research shows how women historically, from their leadership, face obstacles built in an environment where patriarchal and sexist interactions limit . women's leading participation in political and deliberation scenarios, for this particular study in local development projects. Their participation allowed them to overcome and face obstacles that previously conditioned their impact on leadership social spaces, this has undoubtedly contributed to the improvement of the living conditions of the inhabitants of Puerto Tejada, and especially of women
