Item Detección temprana de alteraciones de salud mental en adolescentes escolarizados en un colegio privado de buenaventura en el año 2021.(2022) Rayo Murillo, Erika Mayerli; Valencia Mosquera, Jessica Alexandra; Andrade Arrollo, Jessica Julieth; Ramírez Jimenez, Rocio (Director)In 2021, a quantitative study was conducted in Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca, to determine the risk of mental disorders in 64 adolescents aged 16 and 17 from a private school. The descriptive, cross-sectional research found that, in general, the adolescents had good mental health. However, the study identified specific cases that may indicate a risk of a mental health disorder or psychosis. The study highlights the crucial role of mental health prevention. It emphasizes the need for health professionals to be well-trained to educate young people, counteracting risk factors and strengthening protective factors throughout their lives. The research concludes that preventive interventions are vital to modify the processes that can lead to mental illness.
