Item Caracterización de embarazos adolescentes en una red de salud pública de baja complejidad en la ciudad de Cali(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2024) Amaya Solis, Juan Felipe; Castro Páez, Valeria; Mostacilla Peña, Paola Vannesa; Bambague, Goldy (Directora)Adolescent pregnancy has been identified by the World Health Organization WHO (2022) as a priority public health problem due to its implications on maternal and neonatal health, as well as its negative social and economic effects. Adolescent motherhood is not only a medical challenge when trying to complete high-risk pregnancies as successfully as possible, but it also represents a personal challenge for the adolescent because it implies a higher risk of complications during pregnancy such as eclampsia, puerperal endometritis and maternal death. In the newborn, there is an increased risk of premature birth, low birth weight, serious neonatal infections and even death.
