Item Nivel de conocimiento y practicas sobre el manejo de los residuos solidos en una institucion educativa pública de la ciudad de cali año 2018(Universidad Santiago de Cali, 2019) Araque Cabrera, Lina Vanessa; Cosme Palomino, Laura Marcela; Vega Urresty, Maria Valentina; Álvarez Marín, Angélica María (Directora)The level of knowledge about the management of solid waste in a public institution in the city of Cali was evaluated in 2018. A survey was designed that was divided into different categories that allowed to measure the level of knowledge on the management of solid waste, It was applied to 52 people under study. The analysis of the results showed that 86% of the surveyed population has knowledge about solid waste against 14% of the population that has no knowledge about the management of solid waste, in terms of their institutional environment it was found that the surveyed population responds that 55% believe it is very necessary to know the management of waste in the institution, 25% say it is not necessary and 20% say it is unimportant, regarding environmental management aspects of the study, it is evident in the research that the surveyed population is in a 16% agreement, in a 60% totally agree and in a 23% neither in agreement nor in disagreement and finally on the normative environmental aspects the research group responded that 49% it is in disagreement and 51% agree, and as for the environmental audit the research group responded that 58% disagree and 41% agree showing high percentage of dissatisfaction in these environmental aspects. Finally there is a discussion, conclusions and recommendations regarding the results found in the investigation.
