El trabajo se realizó con la intencionalidad de visibilizar el tema del aborto desde el sentir de las mujeres y sus experiencias. La metodología utilizada corresponde al enfoque cualitativo puesto que permite describir, comprender e interpretar los fenómenos, a través de las percepciones y significados producidos por las experiencias de las mujeres. Entre los hallazgos se pudo identificar el contexto socioeconómico y cultural en el que se encontraban las mujeres antes de realizarse el aborto, los motivos que las llevaron a tomar esta decisión, las vivencias y sentimientos que tuvieron después de la práctica además del acompañamiento que recibieron.The main objective of this research was to analyze the perceptions about the practice of abortion in women in the city of Santiago de Cali. The work was carried out with the intention of making the issue of abortion visible from the feelings of women and their experiences. The methodology used corresponds to the qualitative approach since it allows to describe, understand and interpret the phenomena, through the perceptions and meanings produced by the experiences of women.
