En busca de lo anterior, se indago entre los principales investigadores y prácticos de la incorporación de esta nueva tecnología e incursión de materiales en la rehabilitación de pacientes, para así, tener un panorama más claro de ventajas y desventajas de esta. El fin último y principal de este trabajo, se centra en aportar una descripción y pauta para el área de mecánica dental sobre las nuevas alternativas que ofrece el mercado para la rehabilitación exitosa de pacientes, con el fin de avanzar de la mano con la ciencia y tecnología actual. La indagación realizada pudo determinar que las carillas directas o indirectas en resina compuesta (cerómeros) como procedimiento estético constituyen un tratamiento alternativo efectivo por el cual se puede lograr un buen resultado clínico y buenas propiedades mecánicas relación costo-beneficio.The purpose of this development was to constitute a literary review on the effectiveness of the use of direct or indirect veneers in ceromers as an alternative treatment, taking into account the aesthetic-restorative duo. In search of the above, the main researchers and practitioners of the incorporation of this new technology and incursion of materials in the rehabilitation of patients were investigated, in order to have a clearer picture of its advantages and disadvantages. The ultimate and main purpose of this work focuses on providing a description and guideline for the area of dental mechanics on the new alternatives offered by the market for the successful rehabilitation of patients, in order to advance hand in hand with science and technology current.
