In this paper we present UrbanContext, a new model for urban platforms that follows an individual centered approach and validates the use of the Theory of Roles to understand the behavior of the individual within a social environment. The roles defined in UrbanContext allow the interpretation of the states of the individual, facilitating his interaction with the environment and offering services without damaging his privacy.
