To evaluate the knowledge that the students of VI and VII semester of the dentistry program of the Santiago de Cali university possess, who during the 2020th academic period carried out their academic practices at the dental clinic of the Santiago de Cali university. A descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted in 60 sixth semester students and 70 seventh semester students of the mentioned program, during the period between February and May 2020. The research was quantitative, in this way the data was collected through virtual surveys with sociodemographic components, knowledge and attitudes about high-level disinfection and sterilization at high temperatures. As a result, it was evidenced that the participants have a low level of knowledge of high-level disinfection and sterilization at high temperatures, and do not clearly identify high-level disinfectants and the shortcomings found are also related to aspects that the students in the semester that They are currently studying and should already know and have the key concepts.
